RTW.exe or BI.exe

Hi all, I've got a (possibly stuipid) question. :help:
After having read a lot of threads in which people talk about ''how much better BI.exe is than RTW.exe'', and how they got invaded by the AI who uses navies to transport troops, I started wondering why the AI never does that at my campaigns (I have RTW Gold, so BI 1.6). My question now is, where can I see what I use, RTW.exe or BI.exe.
I've searched the forums for answers but I didn't find any, so my apologies when I am mistaken and the answer actually is on the forums.:embarassed:

I guess you need to install EB differently if you want to use BI.exe. I'm sure it's in one of the many BI threads in the Unofficial modding projects subforum here.

You could look here: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=95664&page=4 for Ferromancers solution to get EB running using BI. He recently updated to support EB V1.1
