I have been experiencing some strange problems with the animations of several units

https://img181.imageshack.us/img181/3313/bugbe7.th.png (https://img181.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bugbe7.png)

The units affected so far has been polybian hastati, polybian princeps, cohortes reformata, cohortes imperatoria, cohortes evocata and a single unit of cavalry which type I´m afraid I cannot remember, probably a late roman one from a custom battle. No other units in the game seems to suffer from this.

The strange thing about these glitches is that they appeared for the first time in a historical battle right after a fresh install and I thought them to be connected to a few mini mods I were using ( which on the contrary contains nothing that should mess with these files ) so I reinstalled and seemingly this did the trick ( at least the legionnaries in custom battles looked and behaved as they should again, and I`ve never had any trouble with the camillan units in the campaign ) and it was not until recently, about 50 years into a campaign that suddenly my polybian infantry started doing what my cohortes reformata had done, despite the fact that they had looked completely normal in the four battles I had used them before that.
I haven´t changed anything in the period between them working and not. Nor before for that matter. I even tried loading a few save games with recent battles I knew worked perfectly the first time and now these were messed up aswell.

The glitch seems to be related to the animations as they seem to phase in and out of these postures when making their gestures of idleness when standing still, but when ordered to move or fight they have so far looked normal.

Thank you for your time

Well... if you have been installing minimods which change files related to animations/models (say DMB?) or animations/models themselves... ?

If you're in for a challenge you could try to prepare *2* clean copies of EB (yes, reinstalling) and use one as a guinea pig to test your mini-mods with. Keep backups. It's a modding rule for a reason. <_<

why did they stoped working if they were working well before? :inquisitive:

I'd guess that would be related to some change in the admitted minimods? S'pose something was messed up in the code?

The only mini mods I have installed which touches models and animations are Darth Stalin's 1.1 Gallic Helm Romani mod, Fanatic’s First Cohort/Phalanx/Elephant/Chariot minimod and the added Aquilifer unit , none of which - although I´m no authority on the matter - interferes with most of the units affected, the polybian legionnaires for example.

I ( always ) have an extra clean EB install which I will try these three out on one by one, but I might add that I have done so in the past without ever seeing anything resembling this.
I´ve also done a reinstall but with the same three mini mods applied together like before when the error occured and I played 20 years and a few test custom battles yesterday without any graphical problems with any units whatsoever - even though it may return as it have before.

And it has returned, this time like the last time it has worked flawlessly until a certain point from which it only seems to grow worse.

No glitches in my test version yet though.

because it affect different units, it may also be a video card issue (ie overheating)

I have not been unmindful of the possibility but it would be a bit odd if that was the case would it not, considering that it is always the same units and that everything else looks completely normal ?

My video card is also fairly new and although that is no hindrance to overheating I always keep an eye on the temperature and have had no problems with other advanced graphic processes.

EDIT: Also I´d best add that I have been running EB since the beta without any problems on the same system and that the glitches appear even when starting a battle straight after turning on the PC.
But not right after a reinstall strangely enough, which I have just experienced yet again.
