Eb with RTW Gold edition

hello people, im really sorry for this thread i was trying to find a similar thread on the forums but i wasnt lucky so if i have rtw gold edition can i play eb on it?its because my old cd stoped working and i was only able to get the gold edition, can someone explain what i need to do if its possible to install eb on it please?

Yeah, you can play EB on gold. Make sure you're patched to 1.5 (which I don't think gold is). Also, by default gold installs in the directory "The Creative Assembly/Rome - Total War" and I believe EB defaults to "Activision/Rome - Total War", so if you didn't change the install path, you need to make sure EB installs in the proper place.

Gold is patched to 1.5/1.6. You can play EB with RTW Gold without needing to download any of the patches for RTW.

I have Gold edition too, it works fine, it's just the different path like mentioned.

as am i - i installed Gold, then directed the EB installer to install to the RTW installation directory, despite it warning me not to for some reason...

i use the RTW.exe by the way... an occasional CTD but nothing major...
