I looked up some info before installing this and I can't say that I'm tempted (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_XP#Installation_issues_on_computers_with_AMD_and_Intel_dual-core_processors) to give this one a try. What say you? Install or wait a few months so Microsoft can make it not crash computers?

Well it installed fine on mine and I've not run into any problems so far.

Haven't had any problems either. There have been a few service packs in the past that have been real, real stinkers (think WinNT), this one looks to be fairly average, and my experiences seem to support that so far.

Even though it probably wouldn't affect me, I have an intel dual core CPU and I'm not touching that for a while.

It destroyed both of my desktops.

Completely rebuit 3 times since then, they are working for now.

How did you manage to take a system down by installing SP3, peverlypever ? :inquisitive:

Why would I use XP for a week when I have Vista on the same machine? I'm not crazy dude. ~;)
