It is Bootsiuv, the original EB tavernkeeper. :)

So, my computer took a crap, and it only took me 7.5 months to save up to by a new one.

Just wanted to say hello.

I see that there is a new version of EB out since I last perused the site.

I just installed 1.0 a few days ago, and figured I would return to see some of my old friends.

So, how is everything going?

Is spoofa still around? What about Glenn and his mischevious equines?:laugh4: Is Bovi still getting mad at all of the dumb questions he has to deal with on a daily basis? Aaaah....good times.

If anyone remembers me, drop a line in this thread. I had some good times with a few peeps, and I would like to talk to them again, if they're still around.

Yeah, im still here, although i stopped checking on these forums since i got into MTW2:kingdoms and playing the PDER and Broken Cresent mods, then i got into a game called Mount & Blade, where i played a mod recently about the classical era, which re-sparked my interest so i reinstalled RTW and EB 1.1 last night :2thumbsup:

To be honest, I've been spending a lot of time since I got my new comp playing morrowind. Now that my new computer can actually handle oblivion I figured I would give morrowind a try first, so I have a clue what's going on when I buy oblivion. :)

My first intro the the elder scroll series....pretty awesome I must say. :)

You may well be disappointed by Oblivion if you loved Morrowind, better graphics sure but everything else is, let's say aimed a more casual audience. Still fun, but not as involving as Morrowind in my opinion.

Already said WB in the EBII forum but I say again, WB.
And btw, vanilla oblivion is a travesty if you're an elder scrolls fan, however check out OOO first and the rest of the oblivion mods, you'll never go back to Morrowind trust me :2thumbsup:

As to Oblivion - make sure that you install a few mods before you start playing that. It is almost unplayable as vanilla. On the other hand, with Oscuro´s Oblivion Overhaul (OOO - it is a MUST!), and few others it is in fact a good game. Morrowind however, despite being older, is still a legend.:2thumbsup:

It is sort of similar to the RTW/M2TW situation - a newer game brings a lot of eye candy, a few very good ideas and new possibilities, but the overall effect is spoiled by the effort of the developers and the marketing department to "streamline" the game, make it "more focused", and other bullshit. :no:

Thanks Heavens for the modding community, that gave us a possibility to actually enjoy the games by putting so much effort and attention to the mods so that they feel as actually altogether new game! EB is of course the prime example of that!!!!

Don't worry, of course AtB is still going! Just with such a small team, it's hard to get things done at much pace at all while we're trying to put so much detail and effort into it. Trust me, if it has anything to do with me, no matter how long it takes, no matter how many leave our team, we [I]will release.

So yeah, as Malik said, I have been away for quite a while with no connection to the 'web. I have been lurking a bit though for a few days, since my computer has decided it dosen't want to run EB, but yeah, I'm still around.

Well, we only have one person capable of creating units from scratch at the moment, so we are in dire need of them. People willing to help with coding are always a massive help, as are people who can help with research. I'm not sure about mappers, I think Athkara's fine with that at the moment.

Just anyone willing to help out really, seeing as we are really thin on the ground at the moment, I think the our whole team consists of five people, which for what we are trying to acheive, isn't really enough.

We're not entirely sure. He just began ignoring us on MSN, then blocked us and we haven't heard from him since. I think it might have had something to do with him getting a new computer capable of playing Crysis and he just moved away from EB.

It would have been nice for him to be enough of a man to tell he didn't want to develop the mod anymore, rather than just break all contact.

Man, I started playing Mount&Blade, too, and it's a pretty great game. However, I still have to have my weekly dose of EB to keep myself satisfied and in good shape.

Thanks for all of your warm welcomes. Sorry to have been so long in replying...heh, but Morrowind is just cool. I know it's old, but I never bought it before for the same reason I didn't buy so many other good games....I hate the thought of dropping 40 bucks on a game to only find out it's too much for your system to handle.

I'm glad to see many of the same faces are still around.

Admetos, you have earned many balloons since I was last here. Good for you. :P

Well, I'm sure I'll check in from time to time to see how the development of my favorite mod for any game ever is coming along.
