Is amazing.

I don't know why there was ever so much hate for it. Sure, i can't run it on high, but it still looks bloody beautiful in medium with no AA. And the gameplay...oh the gameplay!

In what other game could you be driving along at top speed, and then come across an outpost. Smash your car straight through a hut, parking in the kitchen, getting out and high-tailing it into the jungle because you're outnumbered. Then going rambo on the people coming after, before evading their patrols and infiltrating the outpost, throwing a grenade at their jeep while it's being used as a machine gun nest. And as they come scurrying back, throwing a grenade into a big crowd of them, and then running up to the last survivor, grabbing him round the neck, and smashing him straight through the wall of one of the remaining buildings.

This has to be the most fun i've had in a long time. Nothing more fun than jumping on top of a hut, smashing through the roof and cracking off a corny line such as "i thought i'd just drop in" while smashing some guys face in.

Have any other .Orgahs got it? What are your thoughts?

It kinda messes up later but it's still good. Too mainstream for the self-proclaimed non-comformists probably, they need to feel special so if everybody likes it it must suck.

I would probably buy it if I had a computer able to run it, but from what I here, even fully decked out overclocked computers couldn't run it at over 1 fps at max settings on the highest resolution. I don't know why they woulkd make a game that couldn't even be run at max settings on some of the best computers on the market right now

I have it. installed it on my rig a fortnight back, but still haven't done much in it, tried it once, looks nice, even though I run it on all minimum, and lives up to the hype that made me buy it (not into FPSs usually, last one I played was Return to Castle).

It was ok. Not great, not phenomenal, just ok.
Cloak is so abusive that it's the only one worth using. Strength and speed are pretty useless, so you'll be using cloak all the time when fighting. AI is pretty stupid. Gameplay is nothing I haven't already seen before, and the whole time it felt like a shallow FarCry with destructible trees.
The game is worth playing through one time before it goes back on your gaming shelf to collect dust.

Because even when not on maximum settings, it's still one of the best looking games of the moment?

I was thinking about buying this because of the hype but then I decided not to. I'll wait a few years until I get a better computer then buy it for next to nothing!

Got it for Christmas, couldn't run it because my mother card was not good. Got the MC replaced and could finally play it. Didn't find it very impressive. Don't get me wrong; it's an FPS, and proud of it, with a great idea in the suit, some amount of freedom and a couple of very nice levels. But besides that... it's a typical, lone-wolf style FPS.

It's fun, but just as in FarCry it tails off in the second half (though not nearly as badly as it did in FarCry)... Having said that the end is pretty climatic, if short... I thought I had merely beaten another boss monster, and boom it it was game over...

I personally find the AI to actually be fairly effective, but totally overwhelmed by your ability to go invisible. I often thought it would have made a much better game play experience if you did not start with the suit and rather picked it up some time after the second half started...

If you are any good at all at FPS then playing on Delta difficulty is a must, you are cheating yourself otherwise.

I for one am really looking forward to FarCry 2...

Completely agreed on the bit about the second half.

Okay, this is cool. I'm in a tank. Okay, so now i'm in the giant mountain. I've killed the boss, time to go through this hole and LOL WUT ZERO GRAVITY AND ALIENS WHAT OH GOD DAMNIT CRYTEK YOU DID IT AGAIN.

Also, picture related. Towards the end it becomes overly difficult, and feels more like a chore than fun.
