hi just wondering if EB2 will be release as an open beta to everyone I know the first one was will it continue couldn't see it on the FAQ first post so sorry if it already been said

I know this could be going a step to far but what the hell

when could we be expecting the first release if it is open beta?

Oh, hell - sorry, I thought you said the first wasn't released as an open beta.

Still, I would think they would release an open beta. After all, they would need to test out new features with the general public.

No. They weren't Beta's. Thats the main reason behind the name 1.0, just so people stopped assuming because it had 0.X it was a beta.

0.7 was explicitly announced as an open beta. 0.8 also wasn't particularly finished when it first came out, but after several patches it was stabler than most "finished" mods, so the team decided to skip 0.9, in order to ditch the beta-image.

About every programm that I ever installed was an open beta, be it a voluntary project for free like EB or a professional software that cost some hundreds €€. The difference is that only volunteer programmers were (sometimes) fair enough to label their product that way. So, forgett about "Beta" and such. Whenever EB2 will be for public download it will be in a playable version that is still far away from the final built. You might either call it "Beta" or "Final 1.0 (of 9.+)".

I can answer like that : "When EB team got bored with bug hunting themselves and let us do instead of them"

you started EB 0.X and 1.X series for RTW

EBII wil be on M2TW as you say.

and if there will be EB III methinks it will be based on Empire Total War.

but for EB IV quite likely to be based on Cold War Total War :laugh4::bounce:

OMG what a brainstorming while half awake :idea2:

you can steal my idea , it would be great to play them but you have to change the mod names for EB III
and EBIV, but it will be fantastic to charge poor phalaxes with tanks (Esp. with German Tiger Tanks that they can raze whole europe) :laugh4:

How release? I tought there were only going to be fake EB II previews for lulz? Since when is there a EB II being made?
