[Note: this is a verbatim copy of my post on twcenter.net, where I asked for input on this but so far didn't get anything solid. Maybe you guys could help]

My question is pretty much obvious after looking at the topic: I'd like to know if there's a way of making agents immortal, like it was in the prequel.

So far I've found where to modify the way family members age, and some of those values supposedly apply to agents as well. The problem is, I don't want to make my family immortal, I'd just want to avoid replacing my precious 10-star or 9-star assassins or merchants a couple of turns after they've reached the height of their abilities.

I seem to recall there being a way of "excluding" whole faction from the normal rules of aging and death. Thus I'm thinking, maybe there's a way of making something like that work for agents?

Nope, not possible. Age is a variable that applies to all characters equally without exception.

On the face of it, you're right as far as I know. However there's some kind of exception to it, bear with me:

I can't remember the exact file, but somewhere there's an entry that makes Aztec (I think it's Aztec, the faction that is over in South America, and I think there's only one in the original campaign) characters immortal, thus I figured that it might perhaps be possible exclude characters by type, and not by faction.

Having immortal generals and leaders might not be that bad, if there was a more or less realistic and not that artificial way of dealing with undesirables. In the prequel you could at least assassinate the nimrods in your family, but now the only thing you can do is send them on suicide missions on land or sea. That's not my taste; otherwise, I'd probably say "fuck it" and make all of them immortal already.

You can only freeze an entire faction, and then they cannot do anything at all (skipped round)

Damn. The way I understood this, this was just about their age. That being said, this makes sense, seeing how the Aztecs don't do anything, at least as far as I know.

There was an immortal trait in RTW - Alexander, you could possibly make a trigger that gives all agents this trait IF it still works
