Thanks for all guys who created such a great mod that I gave up playing any other strategy game.

I want to make it short, I was wondering if there were a change to add more cities/provinces more than 199 or the RTW engine just allows it up to 199?

Why I ask this is that:

I like both romani and pahlava but as I am mad about cavalry I mostly play with pahlava. I had 30 provinces in my last campaign an income appr. 30 40 - 000 and I can only feed my army like this
I put unneceaasry but obligatory native hellenic spearmen in my city garrisons. and I have only one field army with app 2500 men and of course 2/3rd cavalry.

In my romani campaign I stopped at 30 provinces too to wait for polibian reforms.

I have an income more than 50- 70 000 I have a full field army in Syrakuse one in Massalia one in epidammnos but of course all infantry exept generals.

so with the same city size when you play with pahlava you can only seperate one field army out of garrison armies.

so are eastern cities poor or the game had some advantage on romans?

I will be happy to hear your answers...

The lack of sea trade in the east makes money that bit tighter than around the med, mines will be your economic backbone. Unfortunately 199 is the hardcoded limit for provinces.

As johnhughthom said - raise your income by building the upgraded mines wherever possible (even if it would mean several turns of waiting and saving for it), build paved roads and temples to Mithra (have nice trade bonuses), when recruiting think twice about the upkeep of new units and try to reach as much sea shore as possible. Once you get Charax, Antioch and Kotais you will literally swim in cash.:egypt:
I am just about to reach this point as Pahlava right now...

P.S.- Having good governors is especially important for mostly landlocked Pahlava players. Make sure that you have a family member or client ruler or mercenary general in each and every city you possess. With good traits they usually more than compensate for their upkeep! :2cents:

A good way to gain more sea trade early is to conquer the eastern half of the Arab penisula after you took Charax. Those 2 provinces themselves are not exactly wealthy, but they enable sea trade for Susa and Persepolis among others, turning those provinces into real money makers. Plus they are easy to conquer with HAs and Saba is rarely in Ubar at that point, much less in Gerrha.
Ofcourse you have to clean the Persian Gulf of pirates with transport boats and auto_win ;)

Thanks and one thing where can I build a fleet I know Pahlavas can build naval port I do not know where because it is limited I want to conquer persian gulf and make an amphbious assoult to rebel towns in arabia and make trade agreement with sabain or the EB just limited the navy bases in mediterranean ports and I only know from my romani camp. capua ariminum and syrakusa can build navy ports..
any info wether there can be build a navy port in indian sea. as far as I remember arche selucia had fleets in persian gulf and sabain invaded ethiopia.

It made me sad that only 199 provinces

and one more thing do you advice minimod pack 2 or just playing with unmodded EB?

I know I want too much but it is unfair while we can have 3 field armies in romans while you thank god if you have a full field army for pahlava.

If I do not play the battles 90 % it is defeat but it is reaaly challenging to play with pahlava :beam:
even ı dare not to play hard medium is enough :laugh4:

I will put my screenshoots soon if I wipe out the arche seluceia and revived achamenid golden age :egypt:

IMHO settlements that are remote and almost untouched during the game can be cleared in order to gain one more city in the map. In example, the settlement near today's Moscow and the one that controls the north-esatern Baltic coast can be "merged", this won't hurt anybody (even the Sarmatians don't go there and they would always face a lot of script-spawned eleutheroi armies) and we would gain a slot for a city in the Mediterranean or in the East.

years ago when the only rtw mod ı could play was rome total realism, I tried to put one more town to a province and normally it CTD even did not open the campaign. I always dreamt subtowns namely counties but it is much more far away the my even any modders ability to create ..

there should be a huge map and even not quatro 64 cored cpus maybe make it playable... :dizzy2:

ı do not mean temporary ; maybe permanent forts then enables like a small town like roman legion forts that later became cities..
