I'm just wondering...want to play as the Swedish, XL, Tyberius 2.2, and I felt like being able to crusade as them. Now, they don't normally have access to the Chapter House, but I've modified the necessary build_prod.txt (early era one, since I'm starting from that era) so that they do have. Straightforward enough. But I'm curious as to if that is enough? Will they get any of those two or so Crusade units in the stack when a Crusade has been sanctioned, like the other factions? Or do I need to mess around with a whole lot of files? Will even building a Crusade cause an implosion of MTW? Thanks for any help regarding this. I posted here because there is more traffic through the Main Hall than the mod forums, I hope no one minds.

Now you just have to add "FN_SWEDISH" to the crusader units in column 50, the faction association column, of the unit_prod file. I'm guessing the Teutonic order units are your choice? I always do this as well, so that I can spank the pagans on the other side of the pond with a clear conscience.

I think I may have it figured out, though...

Ye will go forth and gather ye a fine specimen of the Gnome Editor from the almighty Mizus. That puppy RULES!

Why some factions do not have the " is because they're the only faction listed in that particular column. If more than one faction is listed per column the "s are required.

It's all fine now, turned off word wrap in notepad. I'm gonna give them the crusade units that the germans and danes have (including the Teutonic Foot Knights only the Germans have...or not, still haven't decided on that one...just seems odd to leave out that one for them, might hand it to the Danes too).

Try using Gnome editor,it's a bit for forgiving,if you feel up to it,just don't forget to backup all the files that have to be changed first, you'll save yourself a lot of hassles if something goes wrong.

Notepad is prone to corrupting files. Try notepad++ instead. The gnome editor also can add a lot of duplicate data to the end of a file and corrupt it. I only use it for viewing.
