View Full Version : IT IS A GAME

Just some ranting.

I know there are people out there that want realism in their games (the more powerful you are the more other empires would bow to you and want to be allianced with you), but heck its a game, enjoy it, figure it out and get through it. The game balances things out as you get more powerful. What would be the fun of it if it were easy? And for those that say its too hard, then play on an easier level.

Every problem has a solution, it may be difficult to find it but it is there. And even though some people think that some units are the right units ALWAYS. It isnt true, all units are useful in some way or another. You just have to figure out how and where to use them.

Yes there are bugs but there are people getting through the game and having fun with it. So enough about the patch. When it comes out, it comes out. Play something else if its that big of a problem to you and heck if it isnt, just play it and find solutions to get around the bugs. And for those that say they want their money back because of the problems, most software companies will take back a game if the consumer isnt satisfied with it (although nowadays it is more of a problem since many people copy games illegally), so who knows what CAs stand is on this. Even so, most places where you buy the game will also take it back including Best Buy, Electronics Boutique, CompUSA, Computer City, etc. So stop all the damned complaining out there and enjoy the game.

We all know its the best of its kind so far.

I share that view on a good part of the childish rants we have seen on this forum.

But I have also seen very constructive criticism meant to help/give feedback to developers, and that should be continued. The 'historic' debates on the cavalery for example will probably achieve little, but find their origin in a real issue (relative power of cav vs spear) and were fun to read.

And thank you for taking the time to open up a whole new thread to rant at the ranters. Very logical of you. It would have been completely hypocritical of you to simply respond in one of the accused threads.

It only balances things if you're playing "Conquer the world". And guess what? Thats only ONE of the two SP modes. What's the point of the Glorious Achievements goals if the AI behaviour forces the player to use "conquer the world" strategies?

So its not a question of the AI being to tough or to hard. AI countries should have their own goals and strive to attain them, if that means attacking the player fine, if it means fighting at his side, that's fine as well.

Obviously you only play "Conquer the World" so cheers to you, the AI should work perfectly for you. Go on, make the Poles (or Byzantines or whatever) the rulers of the world!

Someday you'll discover theres a stick up your ass and you'll remove it, otherwise every post you make will be for the sole purpose of complaining or putting people down.

*nods*

'cept the sole purpose of my posts are to point out when people are being stupid.

I read these boards constantly--its quite annoying to come here and wade through "rants" about the patch, "jokes" about the patch being out and whole new topics being made to respond to things going on in other threads.
