They add to the spirit of the game indeed, but, even concluding they are totally correct historically, they do not sometimes fit into the actual campains?

Horde invades at certain year, are political consideration taken into account? The mongols would start with Syria, for example, instead of Khazar if it were beter, because they naturally chose the weakest point and sometimes this could be just that.
The turks and almohads become sometimes so powerful that they invade europe. Doesn't the fact that almohads invade Spain and France rampaging through Europe justify a new "historical" event like in case of mongols?
