Screwed up battle interface

Hey guys I have something strange happening with my EB as well as the Vanilla. Every time I go into a battle the interface is completely different to what I know it should be. I tried taking pics but some reason they wouldn't come through, so I'll describe it to you.

A normal layout has the unit cards, special abilities and mini map all along the bottom of the screen. Some reason when I play battles the unit cards are scrunched up in the bottom left corner, the mini map is in the top right corner and the special abilities scroll down from the top of the screen only when I move the cursor to the top of the screen.

The thing is I have no memory of changing the settings to make this happen and I have no idea how to change it! Does anyone know how I can change it to normal? Cheers

its the minimal UI
(I really like it , once you get used to it , its even better!! trust me , try it for some time:yes:)

to disable it though... go to -out of the game- start>all programs>Europa Barbarorum>Preferences and uncheck "Minimal UI"

In relation to this, when using the minimum UI, how do you speed up/slow down time? I've noticed the buttons aren't there, and thisis all that's stopping me from really sinking my teeth into it.
