I have a big question for all gamers.
I remember reading about a game. Not just any game, but a game that has been driving me insane with curiosity.
Setting: Underwater cities under the Pacific Ocean
Highlights: Jet fighters enclosed in a bubble of air, rockets with a nub to allowing them to fly by rocket propulsion rather than screws or propellers.
While I'm just taking a shot in the dark, but I'd like any hints or something that. Something.

I was thinking it was AquaNox when I began, but the design of the 'undersea jet planes' are different.
The 'undersea jet planes' look like 21st century aircraft with a bubble of air surrounding it.

Ugh, I remember Aquanox. I got sucked in by the premise, but it turned out to be just a terrible rail shooter. Really awful. I don't think I got past the first few missions before wiping it off the hard drive.
If anyone else did a decent futuristic undersea combat game, I'd sure be interested. It would be nice to see something different from conventional modern large sub combat. But it would have to be done well, and not just "Wing Commander" underwater with circle strafing in slow-motion. I'd like to see a game where you could use underwater terrain for ambush and evasion, the way a good helicopter sim does (and speaking of which, what happened to all the helo sims?).
The best current sub game for the PC is Silent Hunter IV (with user mods like Trigger Maru), but it's a surface combat/underwater evasion game, not really underwater combat. It's still a great game if you're looking for a sub fix, and you have the patience for long-term stalking of your targets.
