I've wondered about this for sometime now but I keep forgetting. Anyone know how to cross upgrade from one era's Royal Knights to another's? Like, when you want to keep your well-fostered high ranked general who's leading an old royal knights.

It's a known bug. It's on the list for the patch. There is no official release date for the patch. Check out the front page (http://www.totalwar.org) for a list of all the patch contents (if it hasn't slipped off into the archive yet, that is...).

its a minor bug. but seeing a whole campaign u put so much effort in going into bit nirvana because of this "hey-lets-exit-this-buggy-game-bug" makes me sick.
