Starters? I think you'd find that I was quite active before I left.

For those who actually remember me: I'm doing fine, on leave due to the fact my father has pneumonia, thought I'd actually check out the goings ons.

Welcome back. Let's see, the biggest news is probably that Beirut had to leave and Lemur and Hosakawa Tito took over from him.

I seem to recall you were looking forward to serving in the army - how is it?

Meh, Army is what you'd expect it to be. Trained in Corinth, requested to deploy with the Hellenic Regiment on Cyprus, from there it's been pretty simple. Luckily language barriers don't apply to the Cypriot Guard, and they're pretty good guys when you get to know them. Most of my time has been in Nicosia patrolling. It's.....well....sad, really. I hate seeing a country split in two in it's own capital. Though, I have to say, the P90 has become a personal favorite, I often find myself holding one more than the standard issue Greek rifles. The situation isn't as tense as the media makes it out to be, as the line is respected by both sides, and the Turks and North Cypriots tend to stay with themselves as we do.

Welcome back, Patriarch! ~:cheers: Sorry to hear your dad's not doing well, though. :shame: I hope he recovers swiftly.

I suppose that in all honesty, the answer to your question of "what's new" depends on exactly how long you've been away now. Several moderators (including Beirut, econ21, Mithrandir, & Sasaki Kojiro) have either retired or gone on sabbatical in the last six months, while a couple others such as Hosakawa Tito have returned to the Org in all their glory. Much has changed, yet much has still remained as it always has. :yes:
