I thought I might make a post about something that I really enjoy about the Total War series, but I have seen nobody post about on the various message boards.

The fog effect that blues objects in the distance is beautiful http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

The way it gives that 'layered' look to the surrounding hills is magnificent.

Actually, I agree with you, I think that the actually 3D engine is quite pretty. Although as a funny aside I seem to be agreeing with an Arrse http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

No.In STW when you where close to the edge of the map the only thing you could see was white nothingness.

Yes.The atmosphere and the terrain and all are great. The game really teleports you to medieval Europe,Middle East and Northen Africa.

What I really like is that now that turns=years the weather conditions depend on the geographical position of the province. It is far more colourful than the "season" parametr.

It is enhanced in MTW because there are skyline textures so that the edge of the map is less obvious.
