Hi, just a few questions about the First Cohort for the Romans but as its my first post i thought i would say what a brilliant mod this is!! Used to have v1.0 and for some stupid reason i uninstalled it, been suffering from withdrawal symptoms so just had to download and install v1.1 and what a brilliant game it is!! Anyway thanks again.

Right now onto my questions, i've been looking around over the forums and like the sound of konny's allied legion mod and wondered when you get to the marian reforms if that just gives the first cohorts numbers when recruited? (if it does brilliant thats what i want)

And my second question is, is there a way of changing the recruitment area of the first cohort to all the all areas you can recruit normal legionary cohorts? (reason being i like to retrain my troops and find it annoying to have to ship the first cohort all the way back to Rome just to retrain them, especially annoying if their stationed in Judea!)

Oh and a third question i suppose is if its possible to change the recruitment area would it cause any problems with the game e.g. CTDs, etc.

Thanks for any help and thanks again for such a brilliant game!

The First Cohort is a unit of its own and therefore the only one that gets numbers after Marian Reforms. When you use my mod the numbers of the First Cohorts might not start with "I" because of the numbered Polybian units raised previor (the maximum number is, I think, "XX" after that it starts over again at "I").

That is of course possible, provided you know how to mod export_descr_buildings.txt and handle the EB hidden ressources system.

Provided it had been done right, it would be save game compatible.

Good, thanks for the reply now i'm not great a fiddling about with the game itself so how would change the mod export_descr_buildings.txt and all the stuff you would need to to get it to work.

Thanks for any help again.
