What is the point of raising zeal as a orthodox faction?? i understand there may be some happiness benifits but still you cant crusade so ....

Nah it says that priests convert in their little description bit and bishops (the ones from orthodox cathedrals (i think its bishops)) improve the faith of orthodox christians (dosen't convert).

I think you may be getting faith & zeal confused.

As far as i know, the religious units mostly raise a regions faith in their respective religions. The exception to this being that Inquisitors raise zeal in catholic regions.

From what i've read on the boards, catholic bishops will actually inhibit the actions of inquisitors in the same region, as well as increasing faith.
I've also heard it said that the islamic religous units raise both faith & zeal, but havn't played a muslim faction personally, so i'm not sure.
