O.k i'm a noob to this mod stuff so I have a really dumb question to ask. I never downloaded a mod so I don't know if I downloaded E.B. I would still be able to play the original Rome total war.

Ok I got another one. When onthe E.B. select destination location screen I typed in my location of RTW. But when I clicked next it says I shouldn't download it into program files, so now I'm confused on where to dowload it to. Someone :help:

You will still be able to play vanilla RTW.

If you use Vista you cannot install any games in Program Files. If you are not using Vista there is no problem. However it is generally considered bad form to install games in Program Files. Far better to have them in their own folder (no skin off your back and it keeps the two different). If you are using Vista and you have installed RTW into Program Files you will need to uninstall and reinstall into a different location.

EDIT: Make sure you install EB into the exact same folder you find the RomeTW.exe.

If I uninstalled and reinstalled RTW would I still have my save?

No. But if you copy&paste that beforehand you will be able to copy it back into the new savegame folder once you reinstall RTW.

Could I just move RTW into another folder?

I don't know how that will effect things. It is safer to uninstall and reinstall.

I actually moved everything from program files to another folder and the only thing i noticed was that i lost my saved Roman campaign.

Didn't know you couldn't install it in Program files? Cause mine is and it works quite well too?

I remember when I was a noob and I wondered the same thing. But after playing EB for a little while I came to not even care if Vanilla still worked. I still don't!:2thumbsup:

I just made an entrely seperate folder called EB and I installed RTW in that, then EB over that, never have had one CTD except when I mess up changing stuff in the trait file.

Heh, I actually started one yesterday and after playing few turns, conquering 3 cities w/o even retraining/merging any troops (VH/M - Julii House) I decided that it's not for me, too easy, too plain and dull.
The only thing I was happy about was the performance (neva got huge unit size in EB before w/o having like 8fps), but... it's not EB so I switched back.

EB installs in separate folder so you can easly play EB using it's shortcut or Vanilla using just RTW exe w/o changing anything.
