Now we are up to 7 vs 11... it is getting better and better...

Perhaps we can flood them by all voting there.

MTW: 3254 votes
Darkspace: 21 votes
Mechwarrior 4: 1 vote

BTW, Danish Crusades are true to history.

You may not care about war, but war cares about you!

I broke the tie, now MTW leads with 13 votes to the other games 12 votes. It's all a lie though. I don't believe MTW is the game of the year. I'm too bitter. Plus, it's a good thing Warcraft III wasn't on the list. I also thought Mech Warrior was very cool.

Voting has just started, I fully expect the results to change rapidly over the next few days.

Darkspace is a very good game, its position on the game of the year vote is well deserved but its not a well known game.

Hype can spoil many votes. So I like to work in 2 months before the Xmas rush to avoid it. This years xmas releases will be included next year. IF people still remember those games then they deserve to be on the list imo.

MTW's game play is (IMO at least) outstanding. It overcomes my pet hate of buggy games by a large margin. If MTW was released in Jan 2002 and didnt contain any bugs only Darkspace would have been any compition for it in this vote.

The quality of other releases effects the review score we give games. So the scoring is dynamic and changes each year.

Anyway Im sure the best games will rise to the surface and if they dont I intend to mention the ones that impressed us at Respawn in a write up after the voting has finished.

Yes MTW has shot into the lead.

But the first hours of voting are usually not a good indication of who the winner will be I have found. Some established communities take a while to wake up, others burn them selfs out in the first day of voting.

So this is going to be one fun vote to watch.

Sorry, too buggy and lacking of patching to be voted Game of the Year.

Just look at the threads in this forum. CA & inActivision - ARE YOU LISTENING ?

Well if you have a gripe with a game not voting is one way to tell of your displeasure.

Being a webmaster and a player I understand completely.

BTW MTW is now in third place. Its lagging behind badly after its early lead.

So if you like it, got voting guys.
