Hi guys,
I just finished re constructing and installing XP on two pc's (dual hard drive failure within 2 days of each other.)
I am now re installing RTW. Which went fine. This morning -- 3am I was trying to get it to start and it pops me with a RTW encountered a problem then closes....

Where can I find a basic tech FAQ so I can get my pc working for games again?
I have current drivers for vid card, DX 8 installed from CD, I need to update install sound drivers ...
Any quick clues from any 1 would be welcome, its been a LONG time since I did a hard reset on a PC and I am rusty on minimum requirements.

Thanks
Hip.

Not here, this is not something to do with EBII. I'll ask a mod to move it elsewhere.

RTW will likely not run without Direct X 9.0.b which can be installed from the RTW Install Shield thing.

You may want to pick a newer version than that though. Here (http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/directx.html)'s the latest one. Let us know if it fixes the problem :beam:.
