Pretty self-explanatory. Cost is no issue for me. Suggestions.

From what I've understood here (http://www.apple.com/logicstudio/), you're asking for some music production software.

Well in PC-side of that world, Steinberg's Cubase (http://www.steinberg.net/en/products/musicproduction/cubase4_product.html) is a very very highly regarded software.

Cakewalk has a bunch of products as well here (http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/consumer.asp).

Sony's Acid (http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/products/acidfamily.asp) may be seen as a less-complex step into that section.

I've always liked drag-dropping samples onto a sequencer and found Dance eJay series of eJay (http://www.ejay.com/) software fun & useful -although it's less functional and restricted to sample-based dance music genre. Steinberg's products will definitely be the best choice when it cmes to serious musical production.
