I imagine InsaneApache and English Assassin wouldn't read the Independent if they were tortured with a damp halibut and a stick of celery, but they, and others, might appreciate this cutting piece (http://www.independent.co.uk/opinion/commentators/mark-steel/mark-steel-labour-and-a-bout-of-mutual-loathing-917165.html) on the fin de siecle of the UK's current "government".

Warning to foreigners: Contains explicit cricket references.

So there we are – back in 1997 none of us, not the most cynical, realised that a New Labour government would end up being chastised for being too pro-war and pro-America, on Test Match Special by Geoffrey bloody Boycott. No wonder they're shafted.

Translation.

Now look here old chap, you are aware that Mr. Boycott has a reputation for talking without first acquiring the basic tenents of the subject matter. However on this occasion he has a relevent point to make. Quite frankly, I'm astonished.

Boycott is the typical Yorkshireman - an opinion waiting to happen.

The Independent is slightly less interesting than the Argos catalogue...
