I think my Appendix is screwed up. Last Wednesday I had a fever, and stomach was upset. It felt like I wanted to puke, but it got better, but it still feels somewhat screwy, I can't drink my milk, only lactose free milk or orange juice, and had pains on my right side of my stomach for a little bit yesterday, but fine today.:wall::wall:

Have to see a doctor tomarrow. what you people think?

It's okay Anti-whatever your name is. I went into a urologist for, and I quote, "what I thought I was just going to get some test results from a CT scan checking for cancer in zee area," and ended up having a surprise cystectomy! talk about violation lol :sweatdrop: so I think you'll be just fine :2thumbsup:

Get yourself checked out. My wife had an emergency appendectomy 2 weeks ago. It's not something to joke about. If you can get it removed before it bursts, it's a minor operation with a short recovery time. If it pops, you're into some serious medical problems that will take a very long time to recover from and which could even kill you. Always go see a doctor.

I've always been of the impression that appendicitis was something acute; spanning over a day or so? Then, there was also this thing called chronic appendicitis? :inquisitive:

I'd definitely get it checked out. As TinCow mentioned, if the thing ruptures, you could be in serious trouble. IIRC the appendix is located on the right side of the stomach as well (don't quote me on this).

Ironic ain't it? How something that appears to have no use in your body can kill you if it decides to one day!?

I had my appendix out when I was 11; in my case it was essentially just like a stomach bug which didn't go away. You should definitely see a doctor if you're worried, it's a relatively minor operation if they catch it in time, I was home after about a week and back in school in about a month, but it gets much more dangerous if the appendix ruptures.

Actaully the apendix stores an extra bacteria and fluid incase you get sick and start puking up stomach acid(happened to me once, not fun.. imagine puking out burning hot sulfur and the taste staying with you for days). Or so my science teacher says

Real Comforting, Really (I'm 16)! :laugh4:

But Yea, This Weekend I'm going to the doctor's, Ethier Tomarrow, Saturday (hopefully), but Sunday for sure if not tomarrow.

I hope it's just a stomach bug that's going around, but I fear not :sweatdrop:

My brother-in-law put off getting medical attention with similar symptoms, thought it was the flu. His appendix burst and he developed peritonitis. He was fortunate to survive and spent 3 months in the hospital. Don't put it off, go to a doctor just to be safe.

I hear peritonitis is a poopy head. Which is Why I'm going to the doctor's within the next two days, to be safe. I might hate the doctor's, but better then almost dying.

I remember someone I knew at my school had an appendix removed, but he had been suffering with it for months IIRC, used to always end up having to lie down etc, didn't look very pleasant. I don't think if you suspect you have appendicitis that you need to rush to the doctor before it explodes (sounds better than bursts), although, as always, you're best to get it seen to straight away.
