Nice story Ichigo. Thanks for sharing. It is always nice to shine a little ray of hope in this otherwise doom & gloomy Backroom.

Where's the pun? :inquisitive:
Gah! This is the backroom, not a tampon repository!
The media coverage this story has gotten nothing more then a blemish upon our society. The girl made a few bears, for sexually assualted kids. Not to mention horribly overpriced stuffies. The money, the time, the effort and thought would have been better speant were it was needed. Donations to soup kitchens and other organizations who help the truly needy are down again for years without end. Who cares if we give more and more, it's for frivilous things.
Go give time and money to a true charity. We should be giving media coverage and thanks to those who actually make a difference to volunteers who help the needy.

She did make a difference, and I'd say their time was spent exactly where it was needed.

I think you need to edit this some more....it still reads like the opposite of :daisy:. Any voluntary charitable act for those in need, and what could be more needy than an emotionally distressed child, should be applauded and encouraged...not panned.

But why are we giving this of all things media attention. There are far better acts of charity and kindness that will go on without ever getting a breath of media coverage.
Yes, that post was a daffodil of a post, but at least it could spark some debate. This is the backroom after all.

~ Wow Louis, now I'm not even getting my own puns apparently. If there was a pun in my post, it is completely unintentional.
Hey BigTex, why are you wasting your time posting in this tampon repository of a thread, when you could be spending your time in a true Backroom thread... ~D

And I hear the Germans make excellent red wine. I'd try one of those.
..more good wine for me...:barrel:
The best is to get a car, and drive straight from wine mansion to mansion once a year. Then try all the wines, and if you like any, buy 12 or 24 bottles at rock bottom prices to take home with you. Then move on to the next. Then a few months later, you'll discover the bastard sold you 24 bottles of horse piss because he knows you're not from around there It will set you up for a whole year.
And come on, Dave, darling. You've become such a bore ever since you were elevated to senior membership. What's with the strings? :smash:
