Well, there's really no sense in me taking the save since the army has to stay in Petra for a while till things stabilise.

Requesting permission to have 2 units of Dorkei HaYam Ha'Adom (Red Sea Light Infantry) in Petra to replace a few of the more mauled units in the Royal Army. Also, Hierax's unit needs to be retrained.
I would like the troops to move on into Egypt and conquer the rest of the remaining Ptolemaic cities. Is that ok with everyone's agenda?

I had a little trouble with the battle because I wiped out the reinforcing army from the city so when the strat map loaded back up I captured it and had the three options. But when I selected one the game crashed (probably because it was in the middle of a turn). I tried it twice, but same result. So I autoresolved, and still won. Then (on the new turn) I assaulted Diospolis Megale and won, so it is now ours.

Done, Eprikrates has returned to Selukeia to restore order, his troops garrisoning the Cities. It would appear small groups of fanatics loyal to the Basileus have incited them against us. The problem will be dealt with, and the people treated fairly. Patrokles is not there to deal with it however, and places command in his fellow regent. Patrokles himself is in Edessa with his army.

fought 2 battles, first one was heroic victory (forgot to turn on xfire, so after i hopped out of hte game and put it on to get screens for the next one) and a clear victory against the 2nd army. Clearing a path straight into Ptolemaic territory. Camped along the road at the edge of the Satrapy.

Made a speech in Alexandria, and several regiments of the Satrapal army decided to join Cunobelinus since their own Satrap and commander was unable to lead them.

Cunobelinus awaits his fate for transgressing his friend's command once he returns from his campaign and when Aratos is well enough to get out of bed (he's been gone since 4/20 and the ptolemies were getting bawlsy, marching towards my city again. I left my son incharge of the city with a small garrisson and took the 2 Phalanxes plus a phalanx out of teh satrapal army, 1 unit of cavalry, the hoplite-like elite soldiers, and a unit of theuropoi. wIll return these men once the campaign is finished. I'm sure aratos won't mind considering his extended absence. But if he does i will accept any punishment he decides to dish out. All stories and battle reports will be done tonight.

Construction: Ocheteia Haple have been dug at Gabai, Pergamon, and Nikaia, all work on them is completed. Emporion were started at Halikarnassos and Side. A Purotheke was started at Apameia, as was a Mega Phourion at Persepolis. Proskopoi Chrematistoi were sent out from Zadrakata. King Epigenes of Galatia was given our blessing to construct a Choriton Syllogos Strateumatos in Ankyra, that he may fulfill his levy requirements as per his clientage agreement with the Arche. Work was completed on the Naiskos Mithrou at Asaak this season.

Taking the save. Done. Moved to counter the van of the Pahlavan incursion into Astauene, should be able to initiate contact in a season or 2. Basileios Sarpedon is currently in Sidon, with his army encamped in the port town to ease pressure on the inhabitants of the city. The Capitol was moved to Sidon, where the Royal Court is in residence after the evacuation of Antiocheia.

Military: The coastal town of Paraitonion is captured by Cunobelinus G. Arrhenides. A unit of Machimoi Infantry has been raised in Hibis to serve as the bodyguard of Alexandros Syriakos. A new unit of Hypaspistai is raised for the Basileios in Alexandreia, and the old one has been disbanded, it's (former) captain being held for questioning by emergency order. The city of Byzantion was lost to the Epeirote dogs this season due to the inaction of Nikarchos A. Syriakes.

Construction: In Hibis, the former Ptolemaic government was dismantled and Provisional military rule enforced. Propthasia, Dispolis-Megale and Nikaia saw the commissioning of Phourion. Residents of Damaskos have taken it upon themselves to begin work on a new Agora, and work began on Ochetos Lithinos Kryptos in Gabai. The messenger I was expecting with completed construction reports never arrived, so all Satraps and governors must take it upon themselves to confer with their city planning staff to catalog any newly completed public works.

Military:1 unit of Pantodapi Phalangitai were raised in Hierosolyma for Basileios Sarpedon's Army, and 1 unit of Machimoi Infantry for Alexandros Syriakos' bodyguard.

Construction: The walls of Dispolis Megale wrer repaired and a satrapeia Hemi-Autonome is started in Hibis, while a Didaskaleion is commissioned for Memphis. In the East, Hekatompylos builders have begun work on a Choriton Ephebeia kai Skeuotheke, Sardis has pooled together to expand the Temple of Artemis.

Phourion were completed in Ekbatana and Susa, as were Government offices in Pselkis, Amaseia will begin celebrating Heorte Poleos in their new festival grounds. Karkathiokerta has finished work on its Emporion, and Apameia has a new Purotheke. Alexandreia-Ariane's Megaron Epitropou is also finished.

Internal Affairs: It appears that a new Satrap will have to be selected for Mikra-Asia, as Satrap Nikarchos was inside of Byzantion when it was overrun by the Epeirotai dogs. The controversially gained city of Paraitonion is in riots due to lack of any notable presence of authority.

Foreign Affairs: It appears from various reports that some barbaroi from the north of Thraike are moving into Epeiros' balkan territories. Also, closer to home, a force of Saby'n attempted to overcome the Nabatoi at Bostra, they failed to capture the city and have retreated into our lands.

Intelligence: An Assassin has been hired at Alexandreia to attemt to deal with the increased activity of enemy spies throughout our lands, and an additional spy was hired at Alexandreia Ariane to observe Parni movements on our borders.

Chancellor report ending winter 247 BC

Military: 1 Ioudaoi Taxeis was recruited for Basileios Sarpedon's Royal Army @Hierosolyma, 1 Akontistai for the Alexandreia garrison, and 1 Pantodapoi for the Hibis garrison, Pantodapoi from the Memphis garrison were retrained. Sarpedon has retaken Antiocheia in a bloodless victory!

Construction: repairs were made on the walls of Hibis, Emporion were completed at Salamis and Sidon, andOchetos Lithinos Kryptos were finished in Pergamon. Work began on expanding the Mega-Basileion at Antiocheia, and Susa's governors residence is being expanded to include a Megaron Epitropou. Ekbatana is getting a Mega-Phourion, Edessa will be enjoying a new Emporion, and Ochetos Lithinos Kryptos were started in Apameia. Alexandreia-Ariane is building an Ephebeia Phourike kai Skeuotheke Basilike. The Barracks and Armory facilities were mysteriously burned and looted in Paraitonion by some misguided Ptolemaioi loyalists.

Chancellor's Report-Ending Winter 246 BC

Military: Recruited Thureophoroi, Peltastai, and Galatikoi Kluddolon at Ipsos, Sardis, and Ankyra respectively for the 1st Lydian Army. Recruited Pantodapoi for the garrisons at Alexandreia-Ariane and Propthasia. Apeleutheroi from Propthasia were disarmed and awarded their freedom for their support during the Persian uprising. Retrained Caucasian Archers at Mazaka and Prodromoi at Alexandreia.

Construction: Melathron Epitropou started at Apameia, and Diallage Enchorios was instituted at Ammonion. Repairs were also made at Ammonion, to the Walls, Drainage system and the Temple of Zeus-Ammon.

Taxes were lowered in Ammonion to attempt to foster goodwill among the residents, and to help ease their transition into Seleukid rule. There is still some disorder though.

Internal Affairs: An emmissary, Pausanias H. Parthikes contacted the Argeads at Mytilene with a very reasonable peace offer, unfortunately he was denied and insulted while the vile Argeads proceeded to move more troops onto our lands. Several men came of military age this season; Tryphon T. Pisidikes at Side, and Menelaos A. Mysiakes and Logbasis A. Syriakes at Sidon.

Intelligence: Our Spy in upper Aigyptos, Iason P. Mysiakes, is moving southeast to support Alexandros Syriakos on his campaign to the Elephantine coast. A large Makedonian Army, composed of Hoplitai and some other as yet unknown units under the command of Aristobolous Gonnios, has moved near Sardis and will likely besiege next season. Another larger army led by two captains, one with a detatched vanguard, is moving near Nikaia, or possibly Epeirote-occupied Byzantion. Panaitolios Ankyrikos could possibly be able to intercept the vanguard approaching Nikaia next season.

Military: No new spending this turn, as the treasury was empty. A small Makedonioi advance guard has moved to threaten Ipsos, and Sardis is still besieged by their main force. Zelys Lykikos, in his first engagement, defeated a large portion of the main Makedonioi force outside of Nikaia.

A lone unit of Pantodapoi Phalangitai outside of the Ammonion was intrecepted and defeated by a Ptolmaioi captain, but a slightly larger detatchment of Pezhetairoi and Pantodapoi Phalangitai drove them off into Ammonion. The defeated unit retreated to the fort in the area.

A nomad scouting party approaches our border in Ariana, these are from a different tribe than the Parthioi that have been plaguing us of late, though I suspect they have no good intentions toward us either.

Military: Several victories this season on our southern and eastern fronts, won by Strategos Hetairos Cunobelinus Arrhenides at Ammonion, and Kleronomos Phanias on the road to Antiocheia-Margiane against the Parthioi. Military: Alexandros Syriakos has besieged Ptolemais-Theron on the Elephantine coast. The Makedonioi still have Halikarnassos under siege, and they have moved the main body of troops from the Tauros Mountains back towards occupied Pergamon. There has been no new recruitment this season.

Construction: Work has begun on a Choriton Ephebeia Phrourike kai Skeuotheke in Hekatompylos. The Syllogos Strateumatos in Antiocheia is finished, as is the Ephebeia Phrourike kai Skeuotheke in Alexandreia-Ariane. Diallage Enchorios has been instituted in Paraitonion

Intelligence: Agents report that the Epeirote Army under Phillios Aiakides, composed of mostly Galatian levies has violated our border at Nikaia. The Rhodioi are also showing signs of belligerence, though we don't know whom they intend it towards. They have loaded troops onto a fleet at Rhodos, perhaps they will fight the Makedones, though we should take care not to allow them to annex settlements that are rightfully ours.

Military: Zelys Lykikos still suffers under siege in Bithynia, near the Granikos River. Alexandros Syriakos has defeated a large Ptolemaic army in Elephantine, he still has Theron under siege. I have defeated on of the Arsakid bandit chiefs in Margiana, on the road to the City of Antiocheia-Margiane, I have invested its walls, and have that old cattle thief Arsakes' brother, Tiridates trapped within. My army came out a bit battered, but spirits run high, and the men are in good fighting trim and look forward to slaying that old reprobate. I expect they want vengeance for their slain kin. Pezhetairoi were called to arms in Seleukeia for the Basilike Straton.

Construction: Foundations were laid on a Syllogos kai Skeuotheke Strateumatos in Antiocheia.

Taxes: Were lowered in Side to alleviate unrest there, the people are acting out in their uncertainty due to the treacherous Argead attacks, and fear that they may be next.

Internal Affairs: The people of Halikarnassos have somehow been incited into rioting, we expect that a Makedon agent has stirred them up. We look toward a peaceful end to this unpleasantness.

Foreign Affairs: The Epeirotai have signed an alliance with our friends in Baktria, and ended their war with the Chremonidean League. This bodes well for better relations with them, we may wish to support them in holding Makedonia until we deem otherwise, as the degenerate Argeades are unfit for the task.
