Hi!

I'm into history and I enjoy playing Rome. Since I have a bit of time now I thought I would install eb1.1 to have a more historical experience of Rome Total War. I installed eb1.1 following the instructions of having a clean RTW 1.5 copy and the rest. When I put in my RTW disc1 in and click on the Single Player choice for EB this message pops up: Execution of command 'RomeTW.exe-mod:eb-show error' failed (error2:the system can not find the file specified.)

I am not very computer savvy and I would appreciate any help offered from you admins and poters alike since I'm curious to know how this game is. Thank you all in advance!

Have you checked the I.I. (Important Information) thread and read up on common problems such as installing EB in program files, or common solutions such as validating EB? Unless I am mistaken (Bovi, opinion please?) the problem is due one of those two (not validated or was installed in program files)?

No, he said he made a copy of his installation, but possibly he installed into the wrong folder. The validation doesn't actually fix anything, but it is very useful to see whether it is installed correctly, so please run it.

Please post your full path to the RTW folder (such as c:\games\RTW_EB), and whether you are using the Trivial Script. You appear to be using a custom shortcut with errors, take note of spaces:

"RomeTW.exe-mod:eb-show error" should be
"RomeTW.exe -mod:eb -show_err"

I ran the validation already, I hope I did it correctly by clicking on it and then pressing any key to continue (but I could't find the "any key"....j/k ;) ).

C:\Rome - Total War\EB is the path where the EB folder is in, and yes I also installed the trivial script when I downloaded and installed the game.

Also you were right, it was "RomeTW.exe -mod:eb -show_error" and not
"RomeTW.exe-mod:eb-show error"

Thank you guys again for helping me out!

show_err, not show_error. Anyway, is it working?

You need to use show_err. Not show_error. Is there anyway I can make this more clear?

You said you ran the validation. What did it say?
