Swiss as a Faction

After weeks of playing MTW I saw the Swiss Faction for the first time. They have this nice shield but the colour is abit too grey, looks like rebels. And each heir gets to command a Swiss Armored Pikemen...nice!

Anyway does anyone knows what triggers this faction to appear?
