I have started a Selukieu campaign and my faction leader and faction heir could hardly move. Their movement was restricted to one "part" per turn, and none in the winter. It took me about 5 years to move the heir from one city to another. Now they cannot move at all in non-winter months (luckly they are in cities).

What's the deal? The heir is young and doesn't have any restrictions except for winter campaigning. They are just stuck there; can't move. I checked their traits; there is nothing restricting them to this extent.

Try not to double post.

I was wondering whether your faction leader and son are in the same army? If they are, then both will be affected by the commanding officer's (your faction leaders) movement restrictions. If you seperate your two characters, then you should find that one of them has better movement.

Apart from that, other than the terrain and climate your wandering through, i cant really think of any game reasons why this should happen. If it persists try starting a new campaign

I think it's a bug. No, they aren't in the same army; they are even traveling on roads.

It's not worth starting a new campaign; they are going to die eventually anyhow.

I thought that the Babylonian New Year "curse" was "lifted" by the EB team in 1.1?

Could this be the problem? I remember a lot of post about this in the 1.0 days.

Maybe you "accidentaly" forgot your guys inside a city with a lvl 4 government, thus giving them the "Client Ruler" trait? It has happened to me and it seems only FMs with the "Family Member" trait are immune to that little "bug".

This is a duplicate thread, detailing a 1.0 bug that was fixed in 1.1 (see Foot's response in the other thread)
