I can't really express how i feel about the horrible, ridiculous, desastrous, terrible, unbelievable, in fact surreal MP-experience due to all the heavy bugs!!!
I hate Gamespy!!
If its not their fault....CA sucks as well!!! ( at least concerning the heart-warming MP-experience)
End of rant.
yours Jemasze
LOL !
Yes ..a day in the life of a MTW multi player fan is:
disconnected form server
disconnected form server
disconnected form server
account details incorrect
crash to desktop
disconnected form server
disconnected form server
logon error
disconnected form server
disconnected form server
crash wile trying to load map
disconnected form server
you have been dropped from this game
disconnected form server
disconnected form server
disconnected form server
and so the saga continues and we all continue to take abuse by the ton for wanting to play online.
Patch Patch Patch ! PLEASE !

Maybe they simply have to guide some testers in the undiscovered universe of multyplayer....

BUMP
Well every time I BUMP my head playing Mp, I still gotta say, despite the imperfections inherent in a project the size of MTW:
Well Done CA ! U guys have created a milestone in strategy gaming that is carved into gaming history.

The problem is that, even if the fabled patch were to arrive, there is no guarantee that the situation will improve.

In the end times, there will be rumors of a patch-- but none shall come. And there shall be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth across the lands. And still no patch shall come. And the poor suckers will start eating their children out of frustrated desperation. And yet-- no patch shall come. Alas the end of days shall be dark and horrible.

LOL Yes indeed there is no guarantee and looks like there is a lot of work to be done in MP are. Thing is though that now CA have a lot at stake with all these ppl waiting. That could be a motivator.
That's a wicked prophecy at the bottom of your post ! LOL !

Agreed--it would be franchise suicide, albeit only for that 10% of MTW gamers that play online, to fail to provide an adequate online fix. I do love this game and I do enjoy the SP component. I would not, however, have bought the game were it not for online play. If CA cannot fix these problems after all of the time and energy that I've invested in learning the game and waiting for the patch, I will never but another TW iteration.

Maybe we as a community should make our own Online MP client interface (someone would have to host it though - I code but would need some assistance etc etc) ?????

lately I've had good luck with MP. Perhaps that's only because I immediately know when I'm getting booted and have an informal set of procedures for restarting. Sad. But true.

When u spent a lot of time now, somehow u gonna feel when u get disconnected and/ro booted or have a lockup. There is a pattern, but its a complex one. So what will be quicker, a patch or solving the pattern?

if the patch works, then the patch will be quicker because you wont even have to use streamlined rebooting procedures. If the question is whether it's more efficient to wait for the patch rather than learn to use the currently faulty system, then I would say learn to use the system. Though I've heard a lot of people say that the patch is due within the next two weeks.
