Hi I am new here. Played Rome total war constantly since release. EB is my favourite mod. I'm from norway, sorry bad english. :viking:

Enough about that.

I cet a crash to desktop with the usual "Don't send", and stuff. You know.
in AI turn. tried to avoid rioting but i cant do it in one turn, since i have only one save and i kind of wanted this city to rebel before i knew anything about the crash. but, whats strange is that it is not at the Elutheroi-turn.

tried to stop all recruitment, but i feel i cant stop the buliding i carthage i have been wainting for so long. But i feel it is not about that. But i have tried everything else i knew about, and tried several times.

Rebellions don't happen on the Eleutheroi turn, so that's not odd at all. Try to destroy the game field building in the city that is rebelling, as well as moving the capital there to increase happiness. As it is happening in the AI turn, it's more likely to be an enemy rebellion that is causing the problem, though. You need to follow the instructions in the frequent issues to get around that.

I don't know what you mean about signatures of factions not in the game, perhaps you mean banners concerning other mods. People aren't required to be monogamous in mods, and there are several others you may enjoy too :beam:. Anyway, you can get information about EB primarily in the "Important Info" thread and its linked posts in both this and the general forum, as well as in our announcements and our website. The FAQ is a good place to start.

Start keeping more than one save.

Edit: The reason appears to be an AS army merging. Possibly a clone, which you might be able to get around by teleporting him away.

thank you for a good answer. I dont know what you mean by the last thing you said there. How to teleport him? Do i have to use cheats? Tell me how

See the frequent issues for how to teleport a character. Anyway, I couldn't get it to work by teleporting all their characters around, so it's probably something else. You may be able to get around it by switching control to their faction, but I don't think you're far enough along in your campaign to warrant that level of effort to resurrect the campaign.

You're probably better off starting a new campaign and keeping saves from various times that you can fall back to if another persistent crash occurs.

I really love this campaign. And i dont have enough time in front of computer to take time to make a new one. Can you do that switching to resurect? I would be very glad. And we are both from norway <3

Some users have banners like this:

They look like rebel factions

Very well, then you can try this:

* Make a backup copy of your savegame just in case.
* Make a backup copy of eb/data/scripts/show_me/generic_script.txt. This is not just in case, but required.
* Modify eb/data/scripts/show_me/generic_script.txt to include a line console_command control romans_julii between script and end script.
* Run EB and load your savegame. Activate the normal background script.
* Activate the generic script by pressing F1 on your keyboard, then the question mark button and finally SHOW ME. You should lose control of Carthage and gain control over AS.
* Save the game at this point so you can experiment freely.
* Do stuff to see if you can get around the problem. Make sure they don't have any revolts, check out their characters for clones, cancel all construction/recruitment, move all their units around and so on. Experiment without inhibitions. End turn.
* If you do get past the crash, save and exit the game.
* Modify the generic_script.txt to no longer switch control to AS, but rather back to Carthage: console_command control egypt.
* Run EB and load the savegame. Do the same maneuver you did when transferring control to AS; F1 and so on.
* When you're back to Carthage, save the game and exit.
* Revert the generic_script.txt to the original one.
* Run EB and continue your campaign.

Those banners are indeed EB banners, true. Occultus (hidden) means a team member working on a faction or other property of the game that is not yet revealed to the public. The Yuezhi were a faction in versions prior to EB 0.8, but were replaced by the Saka Rauka at that point, as they were somewhat outside the timeframe. They entered our map and became a power to contend with sometime later than our starting date. They still make an appearance, but not in quite the form we would like to see.
