The recording sounds like him. Man, what a sicko, I guess if you'd bang Yoko Ono, you'd nail about anything? So, do you think this is real?
No. Doesn't sound much like Lennon to me. Little too deep.
And even if it is him, this doesn't make him any less of a great musician. Hell, the lead singer of Queen was a homosexual.

Oedipus.
Certainly sounds like it could be him, although I'm not a Beatles fan so can't really comment either way.
I don't really see how it matters anyway. He's far from being the only person who's contemplated sexual relations with a parent; it's not exactly a unique phenomenon.

I'm nowhere near old enough to know whether it is or isn't Lennon. I hope it is him though! That should add to his legacy. :2thumbsup:
Social change happens at multiple speeds. An avant-garde moves ahead, the majority follows, and individual artists, scientists and singular geniuses explore the limits of thinking, customs and taboos. Without this continuous exploration of social frontiers, society would become stale, rigid, and ultimately regressive.
In the 60s/70s, Lennon was at the forefront of subcultures exploring the limits of sexual and deviant behaviour. This tape only adds to Lennon's stature as a great artist in the vanguard of those subcultures. Thoughts and experiments like Lennon's spearheaded a sexual relaxation throughout the entire society. Bless him and his generation for it! :2thumbsup:
never was a fan...don“t really care either way

Its artistic to want to have sex with your mother? Must be an elite intellectual thing I guess. :laugh4:
Yes DevDave, everyone who worked hard to get an education is an effete elite, and everyone who didn't is a slacker who doesn't know how to get ahead and a potential leech on society.
The only good people are folks just like you, Dave. You're the only decent American. Use your power for good, please.

And there we have it.
Had Lennon mildly complied with his born destiny as a member of the unthinking working classes toiling in the British equivalent of West Virginia, it would have been perfectly normal to have had sex - and no doubt dozens of offspring - with both his mother and assorted sisters and aunts.
His crime was to think and question the nature of war and social conservatism. For the evil of intellectualism, he must be condemned, pilloried and used as an example to frighten the young away from the evils of popular music.
:shame:

It is artistic to explore and to question why it is considered repulsive.

You really are too gentle Banquo , you should have said Georgia instead of West Virginia .
But what is strange is that Dave reads the Sun , I thought that was just a paper for really dumb people .

I am outraged that Liverpool, once one of the most important trading cities on Earth and that played a vital role in starting the industrial revolution(and therefore creating the modern world) is considered a place where it is normal to have children with your female relatives.:furious3:

It could be worse , someone could have said that scousers think its normal to have children with their male relatives , then again you could always put that down to a Sun readers spelling .

I am sorry. Really.
But.
I don't care who ya'are: THAT was funny.
And no one got slammed but The Sun, who, one presumes can take it, as long as they sell copy.
Imagine the astonished gratitude of Philip Norman, the author of the forthcoming tome being blatantly hawked by The Sun; even here, in our little backwater gaming forum politics and culture sub-sub-forum... he's got tongues wagging.
If he only knew.
It is repulsive to want to have sex with your mother.
It is artistic to explore and to question why it is considered repulsive.

To answer the question:
So, do you think this is real?
No, I don't. I think it's marketing - no more real than commercials implying that if you drink Bud Lite, you'll get lucky tonight.

I agree with Louis and Kurki, however it is with wholesale kitten slaughter.
Oh, in case anyone needs clarification I mean:

(I'm not done) But really. How the hell is it "artistic" to question why it is considered repulsive to have sex with your mother. Now, smearing a picture of her with feces and placing it in a jar of urine might be :idea2:. And you can get federal funding for it too! It may be a philosophical exercise but since when has asking why been artistic? If your work explores the question then it is art, not the question itself.
