...Not sure how I feel about it though. Twice as many places to search for info now and my name has already gone.....

Not sure i'd call it official, seems to be the old site from before the one i knew. It apparently has been running for a while, it seems to have a thread about the official boards being hacked, where someone goes - "what happend to the official boards i can't get on them", someone else goes " they were hacked and should be up again soon". Anyway they are far from being the old boards we knew and loved, run slow, look horrible and i know where i'm going to stay http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

It's as official as it's going to get.... they're just back to using ezboard (and have reinstated their "gold" membership - so no annoying pop-ups). The ezboard forums were there all along, so some people continued to post there.

As for the xmb forums, apparently whoever was attacking them continued to hack them every time they came back online, and the moderators could not find a way to block all the security holes.

Personally, I like the other forum only because I can get at it from behind my company's firewall... this one is blocked. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif

Curious, did the .com site require one to receive "cookies" in order to post?

If so, then that explains why there's been claims of individuals being "hacked" by logging onto the .com site.

The "new" official ezboard forum, requires one to allow cookies. Guess, I won't be posting on that board. Most especially, in light of recent events!!!!

Here's a good free Cookiewall, if anyone's interested:
