i have a question, it says that the city of carthage can get bush elephants with a L5 mic, do they need the reform or can i get them right away, its like 259 in my campaign. Also, do i need to upgrade to lvl 5 in order to get the new reform units or can i build the barracks first, because ive heard u need to build a new barracks sometimes to get the reform units. Last question, there are two african forest elephants available to trIN FOR lvl 4 mic, why can i only get one?

The Carthage, Sweboz and Seleucid reforms work differently to the others. You don't need to construct new barracks and the reform units will show up as recruitable from that building, but you won't be able to recruit them from the recruitment panel until you complete the reform conditions. As for the bush elephants I cannot remember whether they are a reform unit or not. For the forest elephants, I imagine one is a reform unit - see above. Read the FAQ for more info.

I don't think either are a reform unit. I'm currently in a Carthage campaign, 1.1, no patches, and I can recruit both types of elephants from a level 5 factional MIC.


edit: i think maybe the scrub elephants are recuitable from a level 4 MIC and the bush elephants need a level 5. i'm not positive about this though.

thanks for the info, oh and i was saying that there are 3 elephants available in carthage, 2 kinds of forest at lvl 4 or below, and lvl 5 says u get bush elephants.
