View Full Version : govt
hi, i was wondering if anyone changes the govt of their settlements several times. For example, im carthage and im trying to get the reform earlier, so i switched some of my type 2s to 4s on my subjucation land, since i have them at the start im able to build the regional mics easier, and after i plan to return them back to type 2s after the lvl 5mic. im wondering if this can cause any ctds or anything, or if people condone doing this for any reason?
It doesn't cause CTDs, but it is considered a exploit by the EB team. The mechanic is very specific for governments and MICs, and if we were able we would restrict what governments are available based on what MICs are there, just as we restrict what MICs are available based on what governments are there. However we cannot so some people do play like that and are fine with it.

I do this after I've controlled an area for several decades or so, except I go from lvl 4 to lvl 2. Doing this won't cause ctds, but it will give your client ruler the imposter trait.
Ya, ive had my subjucated lands longer, ergo they have higher regional mics and ive been upgrading them to lvl 5 for carthage refroms, i do however need a type 4 but wish to return it to type 2 after all construction is done. I guess its an exploit, but seeing as ive started construction and invested so much money thus far, ill finish it and next time wont do this to try to get a better gameplay exp.
