Well, it still does it. Which pretty much ends my patience with MP in this game. Fortunately, they did add random armies in custom battles, so I can set up whatever battles I wish. Kudos to the dev's for the random army feature, but seriously...how can they not have noticed these MP bugs in testing? Anyone else still getting this, and are there any workarounds? (Don't bother saying its my computer, I play dozens of games with no problems besides this one.)

He is talking about after the patch.

Kocmoc had similar comments.

I am an avid supporter of the Total War series, but this MP desktop crash issue really is rediculous.

In the end times, there will be rumors of a patch-- but none shall come. And there shall be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth across the lands. And still no patch shall come. And the poor suckers will start eating their children out of frustrated desperation. And yet-- no patch shall come. And then, finally, some small glimmer of hope shall appear. And a "patch" shall be released. But, alas, it shall do no good. Verily, I say unto you-- the end of days shall be dark and horrible.

yep...post patch. i get a good 3 minutes in the lobby, and then...BAM. gone. its a shame, because i'd probably be playing this online every night if it weren't for this problem. there's no way this wasn't noticed in QA, i think they simply don't know how to fix it.

I'm afraid you are right Jeff, they seem to have been pointedly ignoring the issue for some time.

In the end times, there shall be rumors of a patch-- but none shall come. And there shall be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth across the lands. And the frustrated masses shall search high and low for the patch. And still no patch shall come. And the poor suckers will start eating their children out of frustrated desperation. And yet-- no patch shall come. And then, finally, some small glimmer of hope shall appear. And a "patch" shall be released. But, alas, all shall be as before the patch. Thus, look not for a patch in those last days-- for it is a trick of the Dark Ones. Verily, I say unto you-- the end of days shall be dark and horrible.
