Remove shadows help me!!!

Everyone knows that removing shadows improve the game performance for older computers... but when you remove all shadows there is still a black cicle above the unit. If anyone remember the first releases of Rome Total War (1.0 exactly) there were no black circles. So I have the 1.5 ver and i want to remove that hateful black circles. If anybody knows how to remove them i will be very thankful. Please reply me or send me a PM.
