Hi, i know that this reform is hard to get, so i saw someone post that you can just add traits to get the reform

"There is a cheat to get the reforms, you can give 2 of your FMs the necessary trait via console and you'll get your reforms after 5 years."
Type for example:
give_trait "Theodoros Syriakos" ImpressedByCats and
give_trait "Alexandros Syriakos" ImpressedByCats

but when i try to do that, it says that the trait is not found in the data base. Any help? and dont say that if u cant get the reforms naturally then you dont need them, cause i want to use all the units for my faction.

if you can't be bothered waiting you could just edit the EDU. Find the Hellenikoi Kataphraktoi unit entry and change the primary weapon entry from "siege" to "blade".

oh the mistake was i put in ImpressedbyCats, not ImpressedByCats, so it worked now, do i just wait a few years, then build the lvl4 mic and i should have my cats?

Oh i have another question, ive been keeping parthia alive until i ahve the lvl 4 barracks to see if the reforms worked, is that neccasary or can i just kill them now, because now i need that army to help against baktria

I think the trait name is "Intrigued By Cataphracts", hey I tried it too as it is that tough but the cheat don't work, Iam already in 203 bc I di the following:

`
then Rome Shell open
I type:

give_trait "character's name" trait
but then I read Character doesn't found, something I cannot understand as some other cheats works like add money or process_cq, is there anyone that can help?

The internal names for the traits that are responsible for the seleucid reforms are BeatenByCats and ImpressedByCats.
Regarding the character names: I suspect you tried to give the trait to someone with a triple name? Those names are dependend from traits and don't equal the internal character names that you have to use for the console commands.
I don't know how exactly those names work for the seleucids, try to use characters with only two name parts, if you still have some of them.

@ aem91

Yeah, just wait a while if they get the trait, you don't need the Parthians.

@ AntiochosMegas

The trait shows up as "Intrigued By Cataphracts", but the internal name is "ImpressedByCats".

If it says "character not found" - the internal names are often different from the names you see in the game. A guy named "Alexandros Pergamou Mysiakes" might be "Alexandros Pergamoumysiakes" for example. Try members of the Syriakos family, their ingame names are usually the same as internal names.

Sorry for necromancy, but I thoght its still better than a whole new thread. Do I need to be defeated to get the Kakaphraktoi Hellenikoi when playing Batrix or only as AS?

Baktria starts with Cataphrakts, you get new bodyguards after the March of Time / vanilla Marian Reform event.
