I wonder how if it would be possible to number the legions, Is it possible?
Is it possable to give them unique standereds on the campaign map?In the battle map?
traits for generals such as Vetern of the 13th legion or General of the IVX or fought with the XXI against the gaul, some thing like that that would be so cool....:dizzy2:

Also it is not going to be easy to anamate the fighting style of the cohorts if Im not mistaken there is no unit like the legions in Med II. I have a feeling that with the butiful graphic capability of this game and the talent of the skinners Im going to be scared out of my wits the first time I meet barbarines in the thick dark woods....Charge

What about the senate? will it be making an appearence in EB II?

I thought it may be neat to have the senate prepose new laws and neat stuff like that.... you know hitoricail type stuff.....like funding budget for the army.....etc?

Any way great job with the mod, may I say that EB I was they most professinally done quilty mod ever for any game.... just my 2 cents
My questions are open to all for dicussion

It is highly unlikely that we would be able to number the legions.
It is impossible to give them unique standards on the campaign map or battle map.
As we cannot name legions automatically we cannot then assign them traits that would reference these (there would be no way for there to be any consistency for them).

Yes, we will need to make new animations for many units.

The senate will very likely appear as the "Council of Nobles" mechanic from MTW2 and would give missions. As in EBI your generals can be elected to positions in the senate. The senate will not appear as a separate faction. We could not have the senate propose new laws, but it could be possible to have certain missions associated with certain events or actions by the player - however we have no wish to railroad the player through history.

Roma Surrectum managed it with a sort of AOR thingy. Mostly as a system to make expanding your empire more expensive, since the further legions got from 'home' the worse their stats and higher their initial cost and upkeep were...
But considering the sheer number of additional units involved, it would mean that all the other factions would be a bit cramped in terms of number of units, since I think there's a hard unit limit in the TW games, yes?

You can only have 500 units in the game, period.

There ya go.
I think RS has about 30 or so different legions, total, just for the Imperial Legions, and each one has two units (regular cohort, first cohort). Plus the archers, skirmishers, cavalry and auxillia. I think they had at least three Republican Legions (2-4 units each).
