OK, this might have been brought up before, but I still want to comment on the stupid advisor in battle mode (yes, the guy that says "we're under attack, we need to act!" all the time).
So... when my city or castle is being besieged/assaulted by an enemy, we have the following scenario: The opponent brings in some stacks of infantry, and some stacks of cavalry. They have some siege engines, amongst them a ram (off course). So, I decide to eliminate the infantry before they reach the gate with the ram. The other infantry use ladders to take control of my walls, and manage to do so, and then manage to get into the city with both infantry and cavalry. I retaliate, and manage to kill off all enemy infantry. What happens? The ram stands idle outside my walls, and the enemy has no infantry to man it. My advisor then starts nagging me with the following message for the rest of the battle: "Pardon me, my Liege, but that siege engine is not going to man itself!"
Aaargh! So... what does he want me to do? Destroy my own gate?
