Couldn't resist that one ;)

Besides my regular Seleucid campaign i want to start a "empire" with only a couple of cities. What steps should i take??

I had in mind:

(1). Raise all taxes real high.
(2). Destroy all "happiness" buildings.
(3). Remove /disband garrisons ??
(4). ???

When a city revolts... What kind of garrison does it get?

I've done this, just disband the garrisons of the cities and raise their taxes to very high. In a few turns your empire will consist only of the cities you want. The rebel garrisons will probably be a bit powerful, at least they were in my campaign but this just added to the challenge of slowly rebuilding the empire.

Yeah, your 3 points plan works well. I moved all my troops to Sardis as well and all other cities are about to revolt. You know, you think the Seleukids would have real big armies, but once you gather them all togheter they sure don´t look as intimidating.

Indeed, this is a great idea for a Seleucid campaign!
But I think that the remaining loyal cities should be together and not so far away from each other. It isn't realistic. A Mesopotamian-based Seleucid empire makes more sence.

Something like that :D

I still have to decide what my main city will be: Seleukeia or Antiocheia.

Talking about that, there is a list about to whom each city will rebel? Example: Massilia(misc) rebels to the common greeks.

Sorry for my english :sweatdrop:

Good idea. But I prefer to play it and lose settlements through fighting other factions but intentionally be defeated. when the faction leader died, the new king will try to gain back his empire.

But still letting some settlements to revolt is a good game play for seleucid empire.

Very good Idea!
testet it yesterday after listening and it worked well. The game is real fun, i have time to prepare my bases and the other faction have time to grow up for great battles. I first kicked the ptolys out of sidon, tarsos, salamais and side in that way. now i consolidate my economy and mic´s.
an other advantage is also less corruption!

for me: first Antiocheia and later Seleukeia

Hmmmm, Antiocheia is more developed but Seleukeia is safer to start from :)

Ive been trying to do the complete opposite. Revolt the western settlements and slowly move towards the east and create a Seleucid Indian empire.
