Hi, so im playing the selcuids and want the forums advice on my next move, so here goes.

Currently, ive killed pontus, parthia, armenia, egypt, and am pushing the baktrians back and fending off a horde of elite saka (cataphracts and heavy hoplites galore.)

But, Carthage walked across libya to attack me in egypt, and after fending them off im launching an attack with some troops i pulled together, charted to go as far west as cyrene. i dont wnat to take tunisian settlements, as its too far to govern and could bring me into a possible war with rome. Ive gone back and forth around the ammoniom city, and carthage has taken memphis twice but now im on the offensive. they bring elite pikes and libyans so they are a little tougher than the troops i pulled and cash is tight now.

So here is where i need your opinions, i brought my most elite army, made up of silver chevron pikemen, elite spearmen, and elite skirmishers, cataphracts, silver chevron syrian archers etc, basically troops from the begining of the game, that destroyed egypt. Im taking them by boat to carthage to level the city and every building in it, then sell it to a neutral faction, and do that to as many cities in tunisia i can to cripple the carthaginians.

I was wondering if that was a good plan, and also with the surplus cash, i want to know if u think it is a good idea to invest in +1 mines, i initally say no, because if you factor in corruption it doesnt make much money, and costs so much, takes so long to build, and a long time to even start making money.

If you are not going to control any of Carthage's settlements, then yes, do it.
Yes, build mines, extra money is extra money, sell carthage to someone beside Rome however, you don't want them taking over the entire western Mediterranean by the time you have destroyed Saka and Baktria.

Building the extra mines is a very good idea. Your plan sounds pretty good. I would give the Tunisian settlements to Lusotannan, just to see what happens.

As painful as this is to say, you will have to destroy their Iberian holdings too.

A good plan. Slaugther them all and burn their cities to the ground, but leave 1 settlement and let them live their miserable lives forever.

I didn't know you could sell cities. How do you do it? Or am I missing something?

Diplomats..."Give Region" --> Demand money in return from faction you are negotiating with.

ive taken carthage now, leveled every building i could, got me about 90k. Then i tried to sell it to aediu, sarmatians, rome, and getai all refused even if i gave it to them for free, or even if i tacked on free map info. So then it revolted, but all its jsut free slaves which are expensive for what they are, hopefully it will bankrupt them. Does the computer play by the same rules as humans do, cause it seems they can support huge armies for the amount of territories they have?

Unless they really like you its practically impossible to sell a province, esp if its razed (the computer does seem to notice that). However, gofting the faction a fewk mnai with the province tends to soothe any hard feelings. I did that to Carthage once and gave it all to the Saba. Forgot who I was playing as, though. Either KH or Makedon.

If you want to give a province to someone, you have to put in some money, like 3 to 5k mnai. Then they`ll accept without question.

Cheers.

Force Diplo is the miracle mini mod for EB and is the only thing you need to fully immerse yourself in historical role playing.
