Yes folks - hello folks of world - this is Gil Jaysmith of Creative Assembly speaking to you using the new aluminium voice cone projector!

The TotalWar.com forums are indeed back up and running (at the old EZBoard site), with a new gold colour scheme, no popups, and a free cuddly panda for everyone. Or two out of three, anyway.

So come back home, you know you want to ;-)

Once a .org patron always a .org patron. I know where my allegance is.

Interesting, how the fix for the .com forum and the Patch came on the same day.

Interesting, Since the patch comes from Activision and the forum from CA, and the forums was online all over the past weekend, just the gold membership wasn't confirmed and we were waiting for that http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

well now if the CA types were at the .com forums like they used to be, then I'd be a happy campter. *eyes Gil*

Not that anybody should be choosing just where you guys spend your time or anything... but uh... well the official forums were largely popular because they were, well, ya know, officially supported.

(not to mention the xmb forums had many better features)

Especially the security features. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

Actually, CA had nothing to do with the security, that's the responsibility of the host in this case. The entire host apparently was hacked to bits by a number of consecutive hacks

Well, I might be gone from here then.

Depends whether the stupid howling Flash sigs are still enabled on the EZboard.

I am boycotting there until Flash audio is disabled (or the mods do something to be rid of people with it).

"Just NOT here!!!!"

I've posted more messages at the .com than here since it came back up. Given that I can't post from home now, representing at both .com and .org therefore takes twice as long of my post-work pre-leaving-the-office time.

That specific sound effect was removed from the Wolf clan's sig a few months ago at the mods' request. So you should be safe to return...
