I still enjoy a good Cohiba once in awhile. Heck if I avoided everything that might kill me life would be quite dull.

As long as it is only "once in a while" Hosa.

I own a pipe. Granted it's a cheap and poorly made little thing, but it is functional. Alas, I only used it for a month before I quit smoking.

You been talking to my wife? ~:pat: :laugh4: These babies are too expensive to smoke in excess.
Sounds like good clean fun.

Mouza must have forgotten that there are countries with a lower age restriction.

It's not about legal age restrictions. Lungs mature at about 20. Starting smoking before then is more hazardous. I wouldn't like to be the one to promote it for the wrong age group.
You may apply if you have already been smoking though...

I prefer to substitute something else in my pipes. Not saying what it is...:2thumbsup:
And not frequently either...maybe once or twice a month

Ah, cigars. I do enjoy them occasionally, although recently smoking company has been scarce. Montecristo with some port - in the winter - or a decent rum with some lime and brown sugar are personal favourites. Sometimes a good irish whiskey can do the trick also. Depends on the mood.

Ah, the pipe. There is no finer manner to consume tobacco, on a cold winter's night, ensconced in a wing-backed armchair with a glass of port and a volume of M. R. James.

I used to love me some Maduros. The stronger the cigar, the better for me; not sharp, mind you, there is a major difference there. Macanudo Maduro Cigarillos were my favorite.
As for pipes, I have always found pipe tobacco foul-tasting and entirely displeasurable, requiring vast amounts of spitting to keep the throat clean of the horrible burning flavour. As such, I only consume an herbal supplement in my pipe.

Try Sunday Fantasy for a most pleasurable pipe weed.

Is there any shame in not being able to finish an entire cigar? I've been unable to smoke one occasionally because my body isn't used to it. Trying to smoke the entire thing just makes me sick. Anyone know of any moderately sized ones?

You're not supposed to smoke an entire cigar. You're actually supposed to throw it away as soon as it gets unpleasant to smoke, because at that point you're basically smoking a tobacco-filled filter.
Actually, that's another reason I like cigarillos; you can smoke a lot more of the cigar before they become displeasurable.

Visit a smokeshop near you and make some enquiries. There are many fine smaller cigars in different price ranges. I prefer a Cuban, Cohiba SigloII, because it is smaller than a regular Corona with the silky oily wrapper and taste that I find appealing. Where you make the cut on your cigar is also important, too low will cause the cigar to unravel, too high will cause a poor draw. Some cigars are stronger than others, so I would suggest not smoking on an empty stomach.

I love cigars, but only the flavored ones. I hate the taste of normal tobacco, and the taste of chocolate or peach or honey is much more palatable.

That's the great thing about cigars. The variety is amazing and one can find their own niche and combination of size, taste, cost that suits them individually. Swisher Sweets is a nice little flavored number (cherry, strawberry, peach) that you might enjoy.

I occasionally sprinkle in some cinnamon into my tobacco when smoking hand-rolled or with a pipe. When I feel festive or sassy, I use nutmeg as well.
