Preferably a free one. Singleplayer only, not one of those online versions against other people. My boyfriend wants one to put on his laptop.

I used to have Monopoly for DOS, I wonder whatever happend to that game. It was pretty fun, had nice graphics for the time and stright forward.

I bought one for $2 at my local game shop. Just find any Monoply, I mean; Monoplky's Monoply. If you're depserate for it, then there should be some on offer at Ebay or something.
Its the same as the actual board version, just with ah, graphics and the pieces don't get lost.
