So im just tryna understand how the map works after lookin at some screenies so bear with me and tell me if im on the right track.

Basically there are 3 theaters of war. or map regions, America's, Europe and the Middle East area.

these 3 map regions are fully separate but u can change between them as much as u want and move troops into the other regions. so for example lets say ur playing a game as england at the start of hte game u might have a few provinces in the Europe map but u decide u wanna go to the America's. you can just send some troops there and start conquering in a different region?

also how will troop transport work, will we just march/sail them to the edge of the map and then they appear on the new region. or will it be like a click to send them to the america's and they go out of the game for half a dozen turns or something?

any info would be great

so excited which is odd cos originally i didnt care for ETW cos of the time period, very keen now tho :)

Cheers Knoddy

I read that the three theatres that you mentioned won't be separate, there will be one big map. However, if you want to quickly change from America to India without having to scroll the entire map, you can press the arrow button from the scrrenshots and you will jump to India. That's how I understood it, but it could be I remember incorrectly.

Nope, you are dead on Haxorsist. The three theatres will all be part of a larger map. The arrows to change theatre are just for ease of movement over large distances.

Troop and fleet movement will work the same as in Rome and Medieval 2. The only possible exception to this is sailing fleets around the tip of Africa to get to India. Since southern Africa will not be in the game CA need some way for European ships to reach India. In this case we might see something new, such as ships sailing off the bottom of one map and appearing on the other a few turns later.
