I can't even play anymore as Baktria anymore, current game has an army outside of Patala, crushing victory for me that results in a CTD during loading-to-strategy-map. It's happened before, I thought, just re-load...but no, 6 loads later the game crashes after the same battle every time. Tried using an earlier load, crashes before even getting to the map, tried auto-resolving, crashes after result.

Any help?

Update: installed all the fixes mentioned in the sticky, no change, auto resolve makes the game last a weeee bit longer - when the avatar says 'victory' and bashes his spear onto the city that's when the game crashes, before the option of what to do with the city appears. I'd like to post my savegame file but for some odd reason I can't find my savegames...
I've looked in Rome/saves BI/saves EB/saves and nada.

I notice it is often the really spectacular victories which lead to CTD.

By God, something must be done about it!

Errr, so-so, it's more like 70 losses to 300 kills, only because I flank with some cavalry to quickly occupy the town centre. Is it possible it might have something to do with the size of my army? I was reading in another thread about stacks causing problem, I think my army is a stack minus one unit, and the city-defenders aren't even a full stack...that and I've fought multi-stack battles before and never had a problem (or at least a problem that didn't go away after a re-load).

Any ideas?

Please run a validation and verify that you have not installed EB under Program Files. Your savegames should be under RTW/EB/saves.

Right, ran the validation, I got the missing/corrupt files message, but not 'validationresults' appeared. And yes, EB is installed in the RTW directory...

You cannot get the corrupt message without details about which files are different? Please post them.

I asked whether you had installed under Program Files, not whether you had installed in a RTW folder.

Did you find the savegame?
