Have anyone noticed a recent noticeable drop in the number of "pure" computer game only magazines?

I had been a devoted subscriber to Computer Games for a while, but they went out of business last year.

So....they shift my subscription to Games for Windows Magazine, but I only got like 4 issues before they got axed too.

Now...I'm stuck with electronic gaming magazine. I care for almost none of their previews/reviews mainly because they're for consoles and I'm just a pc guy and only find some of their interviews/news interesting.

In the US at least, it seems that only PC Gamer (which, btw, has an awesome weekly podcast) is still strong. Are there any other magazines out there which still cater to pc only? Furthermore, do you think this may be indicative of a relative drop in interest for PC Gaming or at least the perception of a drop?

I'm glad to hear PC Gamer is still around, I remember buying that magazine back when the free demo came in a floppy.

PC gaming will never die:boxing:

Wow Games for Windows went out?? Didn't hear about that  But it is great to hear that PC Gamer is still alive :medievalcheers::2thumbsup: I used to have a subscription to their mag till I couldn't run anymore demos  But if you just go to your local gaming stores you'll notice quite the drop in pc games being sold :whip: I usually get mine at Best Buy now... the future doesn't look so good but this year I hope for a revive :smash::2thumbsup::medievalcheers::eyebrows:

I was a subscriber to Computer Gaming World (then Games for Windows) off and on since the 80s. Loved the magazine, but ended my subscription about 2 years ago shortly after they changed to GfW. Why? I found I was getting more game information (and more timely) via the web - IGN.com being my choice of poison. I just don't see the point of paying for outdated info. It is kind of a shame because I remember looking forward to getting my copy of CGW in the mail.

Edit: I didn't know about GfW's demise either. Bummer.
