Yes patch it. Save up your savegames, install patch. If its worst, uninstall all and reinstall v1.0 and continue with ya savegame http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

If you play any SP campaigns, I would definitely get the patch. Much better.

The crusade fix alone is worth it.

So far I like it. Initially didn't like the period restrictions on units but now appreciate the greater challenge and campaign development it imposes. I really like seeing your glorious achievement score. I feel more willing to let crusades enter my territory. I am more nervous about knights and more insecure about facing the AI! All good things, IMHO.
